Current affairs, terrorism, political instability, job losses. These days, there is very little inspiration in the stories churned out by major media outlets. For many, the fear of job instability tests their ability to sell themselves.
But attitude goes a long way in corporate and personal success. Some people can fly aided by their motivational attitude. Some people need a kick in the pants. Yes, it’s a challenging world, changing each day — sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. But hiring processes across the world never change.
Recruiters are always looking for talent and for individuals who inspire and demonstrate the ability to perform. A person who sits on the couch and expects life to approach them will definitely not be the candidate of choice.
Focus Is Key

I have seen many unfocused clients wanting to channel their ideas and aspirations in all directions. Don’t be all over the place. Be focused. Be targeted. Have a goal and kick your career towards that goal. Focus, combined with inspiration, go a long way toward career success.

Finding Inspiration
My job as a career and executive coach is to share realistic input with my clients and rally them to drive towards their career ambitions. However, history has shown me through coaching thousands of clients that those who refuse to remove hinderances either won’t meet their goals or will remain stagnant, if not slip backwards. Even in the darkest hour, there can be nuggets of motivation.
Conquering the fear of rejection throughout the job search/career journey will bring benefits and rewards. A career can be a challenge and there are many pitfalls, especially today, when an employee is only with their employer for as long as there is a fit.
Find Your Career Inspiration and Focus
We live in a disposable society. So those who are inspired and have an engaging and focused outlook will win the way. Are you a winner?
