How to Change Your Job Search After Earning Your eMBA

May 6, 2016 by Martin Buckland Leave a Comment

How to Change Your Job Search After Earning Your eMBA You went to school with a purpose; you wanted lots of bang for your educational dollar, so you chose an eMBA. Expensive, difficult, but you knew it would be worthwhile. Quite a bit of blood, sweat, tears, and sacrifice went into earning that shiny new eMBA. Now you need to use that hard-won success to rocket your career forward. This is the whole reason you worked so hard, so your new degree should begin working hard for you. You now have a tool in your career toolkit which allows you to formulate a very ambitious job search plan, so you can leap forward faster than your colleagues without this prestigious degree.

The Value of EMBA on Your Resume

Hiring influencers and Career Coaches love to see candidates with eMBAs. Those four little letters tell them you have not just general business theory and practice, but you’ve added a deeper understanding of management, leadership, and a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of business operations. If you earned your degree from an institution that offers a global perspective, your scope of knowledge is even wider.

Make The Most Of Your EMBA

Your new eMBA can expedite your promotion to C-level positions, but it’s up to you to make the degree work for you. Express in all communications that you have an eMBA, don’t be shy. Ensure you have added your new degree and additional skills on your resume, your social media profile, and in every job inquiry. Be aggressive and deliberate in your search and target your market. A global eMBA program allows you to target your job search internationally, as well.
